Product Description

Sun Flex Caulking is a heavy bodied emulsion type, gun grade elastomeric with a high build waterproof sealant. Sun Flex Caulking has an outstanding elongation property which allows it to contract and expand with substrates, thereby maintaining a constant seal to eliminate air infiltration that can increase energy consumption. High quality caulking remains flexible for years allowing for expansion and contraction of materials caused by temperature and moisture. Sun Flex Caulking is an ideal patching material that stays flexible to permanently stop leaks and seal mildew. Adheres to a wide range of surfaces:

·         Plywood and Concrete

·         Shingles, Wood, or Asphalt

·         Built up Roofing and Sheet Metal

·          Mineral Roll Roofing

·         Stucco, Drywall and Tile

Advantages

Packaging and Mixing

Sun Flex Caulking is packaged ready to go out of the pail or tube. DO NOT dilute. Sun Flex Caulking exhibits a white color, which makes it easier to see when painting and repairing.

Do Not apply in temperatures below 40 degrees F or when there is a threat of rain, dew or frost.

Coverage

Rates per 40 square feet at 1/16 inch thickness: Approximately 1 gallon. Both Smooth and Sanded Sun Flex Caulking is available in the following size containers:

5 Gallon Bucket: Smooth/300SF5              Sanded/400SF5

2 Gallon Bucket: Smooth/300SF2              Sanded/400SF2

1 Gallon Bucket: Smooth/300SF1              Sanded/400SF1

Surface Preparation and Installation            

All surfaces need to be completely dry and free of all dirt, oil, or any other contaminants that would impair the adhesion of Sun Flex Caulking. Allow for shrinkage. Apply 2 coats to cracks over ¼ inch allowing 3-4 hours between coats. Feather the edges of all repairs to hide area.
